At the moment we sell and ship to countries within the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and a few additional countries. To be specific, we provide full service to the following countries: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain and Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Vatican City and Vietnam.

To these countries we are able to sell, ship and offer service and warranty. In general, we are not able to sell, ship and offer service and warranty for countries that are not listed above.

Exceptions for private users

A few exceptions are in place. If you feel like you are part of this exception, please make sure you understand potential extra costs and the limitations to our provided service and warranty. We recommend contacting us before ordering from a country that’s not mentioned above.

High quantity orders
If you would like to place a big order (for example 10 machines) for your own usage, we may make an exception. Feel free to contact us to discuss any proposition you might have.

For own usage if willing to accept extra costs/limitations
If you are very enthusiastic about our product, we don’t like to say no. However, we need to be realistic about what we can offer and follow up on. If you understand and accept extra costs and limitations (see below), we can make an exception and sell/ship to you outside of our area.

If you are an Indiegogo backer from the past and have supported us during our crowd-funding stage, then we are very thankful and will remain loyal to you as a user. Should you need any service, warranty, parts or Brew Packs, then exceptions can be made if you are a backer.

Additional costs and fees for exceptions

If we decide to make an exception there will be additional charges.

Import charges
First off, there might be additional custom charges. Our MiniBrew is specified at customs as 'beer brewing machinery' registered with the HS CODE: 8438 4000 00. The country of origin is China. Please contact your local custom agency for more information.

During checkout, the VAT is automatically excluded if you order from outside the EU. This means your purchase will be cheaper than shown in the shop but you'll pay VAT to your local government when the product is being imported. Depending on what percentage of VAT your local government applies, it can be slightly cheaper or more expensive than the Dutch VAT that was automatically deducted. Feel free to take a look at this information as well.

Power transformer
Please not the performance conditions and keep in mind that the product has a EU plug and voltage. In case you need a different plug or voltage, you'd have to purchase a transformer:

  • Full Transformer with an earth connection to power the MiniBrew machine that goes from 110v (US plug) to 220-240v (EU-plug).
  • Power rating needs to be a minimum of 1500watt, recommended is 2000w
  • For the Keg, the power adapter has a rating of 100 - 240v. So only a plug-shape converter from EU to the US is fine. The earth connection is optional.

Secondly, the shipping costs will be higher since the product is packed in a big box weighing 26kg or more. We don’t know the exact fee for each country but you can estimate it yourself for your country with the following dimensions and weights:

Dimension: 757H x 670L x 442W mm

weight: 26 kg

Smart Keg

Dimension: 448H x 448L x 404W mm

Weight: 9kg

Ingredient / Starter Pack box (can contain 4 packs)

Dimension: 300H x 300L x 200W mm

Weight: 2-10kg

For calculation purposes:

  • A CRAFT Pro consists of: 1 CRAFT + 1 additional Smart Keg + 1 Starter Pack (Total weight: 35 KG)
  • A CRAFT PRO+ is 1 CRAFT + 2 additional Smart Kegs +  1 Starter Pack (Total weight: 44 KG)

You can also consider arranging shipment yourself. For this, please read our article about self-shipment

What are the limitations when MiniBrew makes an exception?

At the moment, we can only promise full service and warranty in our own area. If you have purchased a MiniBrew, then we will always try to help you out in case of a problem. This service, and remote support, will be offered for anyone who uses our machines. Other aspects, such as warranty, replacing parts, repairs and ordering Brew Packs will be either limited or not an option at all. If you need a part replaced, we are always willing to help but the expenses generated will not be covered by MiniBrew.

Another limitation is the shipment of consumables. Depending on the country, we can’t always ship Brew Packs containing malt, hop and yeast. Please contact your local custom agency for more information.

To some countries we need to exclude 'dangerous goods' from the Starter Pack that we include for free when you order a Craft. These are the CO2 Cartridge and the sanitizing solution. Both are easily found locally. When searching for CO2 Cartridges in your area, make sure they are suitable for usage with food (16 grams food-grade) and that the thread is 3/8" - UNF.

If we are unable to ship consumables, you won’t be able to order Brew Packs, but you will be able to create and brew your own recipe with the Pro Membership. This is a good solution for experienced brewers but not ideal for users who are new to brewing beer.

Feel free to contact us for more information on all of the above. We are happy to have a case-by-case look at your situation, and we’re open to making exceptions for enthusiastic brewers who’d like to join our family.

Exceptions made for retailers

Due to certification purposes, we only work with retailers in the countries listed above.

An exception can be made when a retailer plans to place a large quantity order.
If you are a retailer outside of the previously mentioned countries, you can always contact us. Maybe your order is large enough for us to start the certification process or maybe we have other interested retailers from your country which, combined, may make a certification worth pursuing. If your retailing company has contacts throughout the country, you could also collaborate with them to reach an order large enough for an exception to be made.

In any case, you can always contact us if you have any questions or want us to make a case-by-case exception for your situation.
